OSTEO BI-FLEX® & NBTY
The first UK formulation of Osteo Bi-Flex® has been developed for US Nutrition Ltd, a subsidiary of NBTY Inc., which produces and markets the number one doctor recommended Osteo Bi-Flex® range in the USA.*
NBTY was started in the 1970s by Arthur Rudolph in a one room building in a suburban community in Long Island, New York. Arthur Rudolph, a young man who believed in doing everything he could do to maintain his good health, felt that everyone should be able to take advantage of the health benefits of vitamins and supplements. As a result, he started his own business which only sold products that were good enough for him and his family. He was truly a pioneer.
Over 30 years and millions of bottles of vitamins later, his business has grown into NBTY, one of the largest vitamin companies in the United States, and which retains its founder’s goal of helping people stay healthy. Today, Arthur Rudolph is still personally involved in the company, with his son Scott Rudolph at the helm.
NBTY currently offers over 22,000 products around the world under a number of NBTY and third party brands. The quality of NBTY’s products is assured by the company’s own rigorous testing standards, as well as by independent laboratories and US Government standards agencies. NBTY products are randomly tested and assayed by in-house, as well as independent laboratories, such as Shuster Laboratories - one of the country’s leading quality assurance labs - to verify purity, full potency, dissolution, and compression, as well as perform dozens of other quality tests. NBTY’s four R&D laboratories are staffed with the finest scientists in the industry and it was from these laboratories that the unique UK Osteo Bi-Flex® formulation was devised.
Today, NBTY’s corporate headquarters is located just a few miles from the building where Arthur first started his business. US Nutrition Ltd. has been present in the UK sports nutrition market since October 2004. US Nutrition Ltd. sells and markets Pure Protein and MET-Rx in the UK and Europe. US Nutrition Ltd. has worked in conjunction with Bolton Wanders, Northampton Saints, Leicester Tigers, Coventry Rugby team and UK Body Building Federation. US Nutrition Ltd. is part of ESSNA (European Specialist Sports Nutrition Alliance) and the HFMA (Health Food Manufacturers’ Association).
